The Long Island Bowling Club was founded in 1962 with just 21 men and 14 ladies members and ( thanks to their efforts and foresight ) today our membership has grown to exceed the 200 mark and proudly claim what many consider as being the best bent grass rinks in the state and plays host to a number of Major Tournaments and Championship Finals throughout the season attracting players and competitors of all ages from the various regions within the state and indeed from across the borders.   

The Long Island Bowling Club is nestled in the grounds of the Long Island Country Club which is also host to one of the most picturesque 18 hole golf courses in Victoria. Located on the Frankston Dandenong Road we are just a stone's throw away from the freeway as you head toward Dandenong (Melways Map 99 - G9).   It's very easy to find us and there’s always plenty of parking so come on [User:FirstName] and enjoy a day on the greens with us.   

We are a Family Orientated Club, we do not have slot machines and it makes no difference to us if you are a novice bowler or an accomplished champion, you will always be welcomed and made to feel at home, why not join us for a roll on any 'Social Sunday' .... or perhaps join in the fun on a Friday after work playing with friends and test your skill with a casual game of ' Barefoot Bowls ' ... coaching and a set of bowls to roll down the greens can be provided if needed ... it’s a great way to end the week and meet new friends.
